Arrowdawn eyes £1m turnover target

Integrated telecommunications specialist Arrowdawn is on track to increase turnover to £1 million – a projected rise of more than 250% in just two years.

Aberdeen-based Arrowdawn, which supplies IP telephony systems, networks and support services, increased year-on-year turnover from £280,000 to £670,000 in 2008 – a rise of 140%

Arrowdawn, which is based in the city’s West End, is also looking to move to larger offices and secure further contract wins.

Managing Director Gordon Adie said: “We’ve experienced a period of tremendous growth and that’s been largely down to referrals and repeat business.

“We are extremely hopeful of landing further contracts in the near future while retaining existing clients. We are also looking to move to larger offices later this year. The turnover figures are excellent but it’s important we continue to deliver a high level of customer service.”

Arrowdawn received a glowing testimonial for its service after installing a telephone system for AGR Petroleum Services at its new offices at the prestigious Union Plaza development in Aberdeen’s city centre.

Chris Ferrier, Vice-President of Information Technology at AGR Petroleum Services, said: “Arrowdawn were invited to tender against some larger organisations and proved to be highly competitive. AGR Petroleum Services were extremely happy with the level of service provided and that, along with Arrowdawn’s technical expertise and flexibility, has led to further engagement for future projects.”

As well as onshore projects, Arrowdawn has also installed offshore communication systems and data centres.

Gordon Charlton, Arrowdawn’s Business Development Manager, said: “I strongly believe that our reputation for delivering a high quality service during the good times is having a very positive impact on our business during the current economic climate. The turnover figures are fantastic, however, the most important thing is we continue to deliver a quality service that makes a real difference to a client’s business.”

The company, which only uses Cisco products, supplies telephony, networks and support services.

Mr Charlton added: “We handle small or large projects, single vendor or multi-site communications. By putting everything under the Cisco umbrella, less cabling and switches are required. This keeps costs down and helps the smooth running of a company’s infrastructure.”
